A quiet vigil for the fate of Dyett School showed community commitment

I remember the Dyett vigil near Chicago residence. The reverentsilence resounded and the positivity from the hunger strikers greatly moved me.I remember the Dyett vigil near Chicago residence. The reverent silence resounded and the positivity from the hunger strikers greatly moved all.
“Lift every voice and sing
Till earth and heaven ring
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty;
let our rejoicing rise,
high as the listening skies, let it resound loud as the rolling sea
sing a song full of faith that the dark past has taught us,
sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
facing the rising sun of our new day begun
Let us march on till victory is won. ”
