Wednesday was a very important day.

For those of you that don’t know, every year Bell Canada has a day dedicated to eradicating the stigma that surrounds mental illness. Every time you talk, text, or tweet (with the hashtag #BellLetsTalk), Bell will donate 5 cents to mental health initiatives. This year, the eAmbassador team decided to write posts about mental health, living with mental illness, and more. Wednesday also marked one month of me being on medication to help with my depression, so I feel like it’s important that I post something.

This post will focus on my personal experiences with depression, but it is important to remember that there are a TON of different mental illnesses and ailments that all deserve to be talked about and destigmatized.
